YOU OWN THE GOAL.

WAVELENGTH GUIDES THE PROGRESSION.

A throwing program that adapts to you every day.

Wavelength uses your goals, schedule, workload, recovery, and actual throwing to guide what you should do today—and what comes next.

Know what to throw today. Understand why. Keep progressing tomorrow.

Wavelength

The individual rhythm of a pitcher's throwing—how energy, workload, intensity, and recovery build, rise, and fall in preparation for performance.

Like a wave, energy builds, transfers, and is ultimately released.

1

An adaptive throwing program that adjusts daily training to a pitcher's workload, recovery, soreness, competition schedule, and goals—rather than following a fixed calendar.

The right amount of energy. At the right distance. At the right time.

2

WHY WAVELENGTH?

YOUR THROWING SHOULDN'T START WITH GUESSWORK.

Every day brings new questions. Your throwing should respond to your schedule, workload, recovery, and what you actually did — not simply what was written on a calendar.

  • I threw hard yesterday. What should I do today?

  • I'm sore. Should I throw?

  • I pitch Saturday. Can I long toss today?

  • When should I get back on the mound?

  • How far should I throw?

  • Am I doing enough to keep progressing?

MOST THROWING PROGRAMS TELL YOU WHAT WAS SCHEDULED.
DVS HELPS DETERMINE WHAT MAKES SENSE TODAY.

THE PROGRAM

A THROWING PROGRAM BUILT AROUND YOU.

Your goals. Your throwing. Your progression.

Whether you're building throwing capacity in the offseason, preparing for competition, or managing workload during the season, Wavelength provides an individualized progression built around your goals and physical demands.

Your program connects what you've done, how you've recovered, and what you're preparing for next — helping every throwing session have context and purpose.

THE APPROACH

EVERY THROW HAS A PURPOSE.

Your throwing program should help you accomplish much more than throwing harder.

Wavelength connects training intensity, individualized distance, and True Ball Flight into a structured progression where every throw has an objective.

Training Phases build the pattern. Performance Phases test the pattern.

01 — TRAINING VS. PERFORMANCE

DIFFERENT PURPOSES. SAME PROGRESSION.

Training builds the pattern. Performance tests the pattern.

Not every throwing day should have the same purpose.

Training Phases develop consistency, movement quality, throwing efficiency, and skill through controlled intensities and mound-specific work.

Performance Phases challenge your ability to produce quality throws at higher intensities through individualized distance throwing or mound performance work.

Wavelength helps you understand when to train, when to perform, and how each phase supports your progression.

Every phase has a purpose.

02 — INDIVIDUALIZED THROWING

YOUR VELOCITY. YOUR DISTANCE. YOUR PROGRESSION.

Every pitcher is different. Their throwing distances and velocity targets should reflect that.

Wavelength uses your maximum throwing velocity to establish individualized throwing references built around True Ball Flight.

As throwing velocity increases, distance can increase with it — allowing you to challenge your throwing while maintaining a direct, game-like flight toward the target.

Rather than prescribing arbitrary distances, Wavelength connects velocity, distance, and purpose based on your individual capabilities.

The objective isn't simply to throw farther or harder. It's to make every throw support the pattern you're trying to build.

Throw with purpose. Not arbitrary distance.

03 — TRUE BALL FLIGHT

THE FLIGHT OF THE BALL REVEALS THE QUALITY OF THE THROW.

Throwing farther doesn’t necessarily mean throwing better.

Wavelength uses True Ball Flight as a consistent standard for throwing quality across Training and Performance Phases.

Think of throwing the baseball through a tunnel. The goal is to maintain a direct, game-like flight toward the target with as little unnecessary arc, fade, cut, or drift as possible.

As velocity and distance increase, the challenge is to continue maintaining that same direct flight and consistent release pattern.

The throw should reach the target within the receiver’s natural reach without requiring unnecessary movement.

True Ball Flight gives every throw a purpose beyond simply reaching a distance.

Every throw has a standard.

BUILT TO ADAPT

BUILT AROUND YOUR WORKLOAD AND RECOVERY.

Your last throwing session matters. So does how your body responded.

Wavelength considers your actual workload, arm soreness, body recovery, and upcoming competition to help determine the next appropriate throwing opportunity.

Games and meaningful high-intensity work become recovery anchors. What you actually complete — not simply what was scheduled — helps shape what comes next.

The goal isn’t simply to do more. It’s to be ready to perform when it matters.

ACTUAL WORK → RECOVERY → NEXT PLAN

Wavelength adapts your next appropriate throwing opportunity based on what you actually did and how you recovered.

THE EXPERIENCES BEHIND THE PROGRAM

THE SOFTWARE IS NEW.

THE METHODOLOGY IS NOT.

The Wavelength Adaptive Throwing Program was originally developed for the inaugural 2016 season of the United Shore Professional Baseball League and became part of the league’s approach to pitcher throwing, workload, recovery, and preparation.

Since then, the methodology has continued to be applied, tested, and refined in professional baseball environments.

USPBL pitchers explain how the Wavelength Adaptive Throwing Program changed the way they understood workload, recovery, range of motion, and preparation.

TESTED THROUGH

THE DEMANDS OF A PROFESSIONAL SEASON

Hear how pitchers navigated throwing, recovery, workload, and competition throughout the 2026 professional season.

The 2026 USPBL season gave DVS the opportunity to apply the system daily under the changing demands of professional baseball.

Pitchers competed. Workloads changed. Roles changed. Recovery varied. Schedules moved. Players still had to prepare to take the ball again.

Throughout the season, Wavelength helped provide structure for those daily decisions, while repeated shoulder range-of-motion testing allowed us to monitor how pitchers responded across months of throwing and competition.

We didn’t test the methodology in a controlled offseason environment. It was tested while pitchers were competing.

Across a professional season of repeated throwing and competition, pitchers maintained — and as a group improved — key measures of dominant-arm range of motion while continuing to train and compete.

Workloads changed. Roles changed. Recovery varied. Schedules moved.

The program had to adapt with them.

That is the environment that Wavelength was built for.
