Your Arm’s Daily Nutrition

AC Bands are designed to improve the overall functionality within the shoulder by increasing the shoulder’s ability to tolerate excess stress. The more stress the shoulder muscles can tolerate, the more functionality the shoulder has to do its job to throw the baseball.

The AC Bands Advantage

There are a lot of different bands in the baseball market.  So why do you need AC Bands?  Let's start with AC.  AC stands for Arm Care which is the purpose of a band program.  It isn't just about blood flow during warmup but rather increasing shoulder mobility.  AC Bands are statistically proven to substantially improve shoulder range-of-motion more than the leading competition.  AC Bands are not a glorified exercise band.  Instead, these bands consist of several smaller bands that provide a longer stretch profile allowing the shoulder to increase its mobility.  In addition, the AC Bands come with the DVS Arm Care System which is not just a PDF.  We provide digital access to all of the drill videos and a weekly schedule to provide you with optimal arm care.  This system has been used in the USPBL since 2016 and has been critical to the league's very low injury rate.  If you want more strength too, we can do that with our Strength version of the AC bands.  These bands have more resistance than the Mobility AC bands and also come with their own drill videos and program.

Outperforms Leading Arm Care Protocols

To validate the science and concepts behind our Thrower's Isometrics, they were put to the test through the rigors of research and have been stacked up to other common protocols and programs that are common in the baseball community. As arm care programs function to reduce injury risk (or they should anyway), Thrower's Isometrics were assessed based on their ability to reduce the severity of throwing-related risk factors that commonly exist within the throwing shoulder of baseball pitchers.  When compared to a stretching group and another band-based warmup routine common to the baseball community, Thrower's Isometrics excelled with flying colors at mitigating, and even reversing these risk factors.

“I started using the DVS Arm Care System in July 2016. Since then, I have logged 86 professional innings without any injuries. In addition my arm has never felt better on a daily basis. My flexibility and range of motion have increased dramatically as well as my velocity. When I first worked with DVS, I was 91-92. Flash forward to 2019, I'm consistently 95-97 and have maxed out at 99. I swear by this program and truly believe it saved my career."

Put to The Test

A Study in ROM Patterns in Professional Pitchers

In 2016, DVS Baseball obtained baseline measurements on 53 professional independent league baseball pitchers in the United Shore Professional Baseball League.  31 of 53 pitchers enrolled in a training program which consisted of the DVS Arm Care Mobility and the M.V.P. Program for an average of 9.68 weeks (range 2-15.53 weeks).  These 31 pitchers had an average change in dominant shoulder internal rotation (IR) significantly improved compared to controls (4.7 vs 0.05 deg, p=0.003), and average change in dominant shoulder total arc of motion trended towards greater improvement in subjects as well (8.3 vs 4.5 deg, p=0.074).  Relative to the non-dominant shoulder, subjects demonstrated a positive trend towards improved internal rotation, external rotation and total arc of motion (Table 1).

DVS Baseball continues infuse and study the effects the DVS Arm Care Mobility has on the health and performance of USPBL Pitchers. In 2019, all pitchers entering the USPBL exclusively used the DVS Arm Care Mobility program as part of their pre and post throwing arm care. Pitchers who used the DVS Arm Care Mobility for three months or longer during the 2019 season, improved their DTAM Diff on average by 13.87º.

“DVS AC bands are without a doubt the best way to get your arm loosened up to throw. I have used just about every tool out there and the DVS bands allow me to feel my best. I feel confident that I’m ready to go as soon as I complete my band work!”

Thrower’s Isometrics

In order to best prepare your body for the demands of throwing, you first have to realize what it's trying to do each time you throw a baseball.  It actually has nothing to do with throwing, and everything to do with preventing your arm from getting ripped off.  The more muscle fibers you have working for you at a high level, the more efficiently it will prevent this from happening, and the less wear-and-tear the the joints, ligaments, and other soft tissues within the arm and body will undergo.  Our Thrower’s Isometrics help the shoulder, back, and arm target the individual muscle fibers to help your arm be at 100% capacity prior to throwing.
